Housing
Two years in residence, by design
First- and second-year students live on campus. The requirement exists because the university treats the first two years as the period when students build the relationships that carry them through the degree. Fourteen halls hold 6,900 beds between them.

Libraries
A fourth library, opened on the old quad
The interim library opened in August on the old quad, joining Hollis Main at Riverbend, the Northgate Arts Library and the Pathify Health Sciences Library. It carries general collections and extended study space while work continues on the main building.

Residents share coursework in environmental policy and the sciences, and run the campus composting and energy-audit programs alongside the School of Architecture & Environment.
