Giving to Pathify University
Gifts to the university go to three things: keeping the cost of a Pathify degree low, funding research, and maintaining the libraries and buildings that everyone uses.
Why the university asks
What private support pays for at a public university
Pathify is a public institution, and state appropriation and tuition cover most of what it does. Private giving covers the part that neither reaches: the aid that closes the gap for students who would otherwise not enrol, and the early-stage research that has not yet attracted a grant.
The university meets 100% of demonstrated need for in-state students and charges nothing to apply. Both commitments are funded in part by gifts, and both are the first things at risk if giving falls.
The Office of Advancement, led by Kathleen Doyle-Park, handles all gifts to the university.

Scholarships and financial aid
The largest single destination. Aid reaches 91% of first-year students and underwrites the commitment to meet full demonstrated need in state.
Research
Support for work at the stage before external funding, across the eight colleges and the university’s $412 million research portfolio.
Libraries and campus
The three campus libraries, the interim library on the old quad, and the buildings and venues shared across Riverbend, Northgate and Pathify Health.
