Pathify charges no application fee, meets 100% of demonstrated need for in-state students, and publishes its full cost of attendance. 91% of first-year students receive some form of aid.
How admission works
Reading an application at a public university
Admission to Pathify is managed centrally under Vice President for Enrollment Management Dana Whitfield, but the decision belongs to the college a student applies to. Applicants may name up to three programs from the 140 undergraduate majors.
There is no application fee, at any level, for any applicant. That is a deliberate policy of a land-grant institution rather than a promotion, and it is not time-limited.
The Class of 2030 arrived in August with 5,180 students, part of a total undergraduate population of 22,100. Graduate admission runs separately through the 210 graduate programs.

How to apply as a first-year student
There is no application fee. Five steps, and the whole process runs through a single portal.
Create your account
Register with an email address. A partial application can be saved and returned to at any point before the deadline.
Complete the application
Biographical details, intended major and campus preference. Applicants may name up to three programs from the 140 undergraduate majors.
Send your transcript
Official transcripts come directly from your school. Most districts in the state send them to us electronically.
Add recommendations
One counselor recommendation is required. A teacher recommendation is optional and is read when provided.
Submit and track
Submit through the portal and follow your file there. Decisions are released in a single batch rather than on a rolling basis.
Cost of attendance, 2026–27
Figures cover two semesters of full-time enrollment and are reviewed annually by the Board of Regents. Housing, books and personal costs do not vary by residency.
